JOMESA PSE: Material Analysis

EDX analysis:
In the first step the recorded spectrum is analyzed and the elements which are in the compound are identified.
JOMESA PSE allows to generate material definitions by its mass element content.
Example: "Corundum" can be defined when the mass percentage of Al is between 40 and 60 percent and the mass percentage of O is above 40%
Example: "Steel low alloyed" can be defined as: Fe > 65 and 0.5 < Cr < 1.8 or 0.5 < Mn < 1.8.
There is no global consent on such definitions but JOMESA works together with IPA and leading automotive companies to establish a definition set in VDA 19 framework.

When installing PSE systems, JOMESA installs a set of database (material definitions) which serve at least for a sound start in material analysis.
